No matter which “side” you’re on this Election Week, there have been countless triggers in recent months. According to the stats, and what I’ve observed on social media, the average American hasn’t been navigating the stress well.

Stress takes a toll on our bodies and lives, and most people don’t even realize how much of it they’re actually under. While some of this is unavoidable, many unconsciously opt in for optional stress.

Every time you engage in a social media battle with someone who has a different opinion than you, you pump cortisol into your system and put your body into the type of defense physiology that should be reserved for running from tigers.

We get so locked into our opinions, beliefs, and egos, that we don’t even grasp what we’re doing. Our need to be right dwarfs our desire to be happy, healthy, and prosperous. You simply can’t bask in fear and judgement and feel good.

Stop Reeling, Start Healing

When we get so caught up in our judgements of what others are saying and doing that it diminishes our ability to feel good and enjoy our lives, we often can’t even see we’re choosing self-imprisonment. 

Acknowledging that you don’t feel good - emotionally, physically, or both - is a great first step. If you want to feel better, you have to stop placing your well-being in the hands of external circumstances and begin creating better feelings from within.

One of the best ways I know to help yourself do that, and also help others if you’re so inclined, is with a specific process that was immeasurably life-changing for me. It’s what helped me realize that I’m a healer and led to becoming a practitioner of B.E.S.T. energy healing.

Here’s a well-kept secret - we’re all healers. Our bodies have the innate ability to heal and are designed to do so. If that isn’t happening, it’s due to subconscious interference. I’ll explain that soon, but you don’t have to wait for me.
